About International Management Institute (IMI), New Delhi

The International Management Institute (IMI) was established in 1981 as India's first corporate-sponsored business school, its original campus is in New Delhi. RPG Enterprises (lead sponsor), ITC, Nestle, Tata Chemicals, British Oxygen, SAIL, and Williamson Magor were its corporate sponsors. The institute was founded in collaboration with IMI Geneva, now IMD Lausanne. Two more campuses were established namely, in Kolkata (2010) and Bhubaneswar (2011). In recent years, IMI New Delhi has consistently been ranked among the top 15 business schools and the top 5 private Business Schools. It is accredited by the Association of MBAs (AMBA), based in the United Kingdom and is one of the top three international accreditation bodies for business schools worldwide.

The International Management Institute has international affiliations with top schools in Europe, North America, and Asia. IMI Delhi courses include PGDM, PGDM (HRM), PGDM (Banking & Financial Services), PGDM (Executive), and FPM/E-FPM (doctoral programmes for full-time students and working executives). The IMI Delhi fees range from Rs 7.87 lakh to Rs 19.25 lakh approximately. Admission to these courses is done based on academic merit and valid entrance exam scores. The exams accepted for IMI Delhi admissions include CAT, XAT, ATMA, CMAT, NMAT, MAT, etc.

The IMI Delhi campus is 2.5 acres in size. Many facilities are available at the college, including transportation, an auditorium, a seminar hall, and a library. DLP Multimedia Projectors, OHP Projectors, Electronic Copy Boards, High-Speed Intranet and Internet Connectivity are available in the institute's classrooms. On the college campus, there are over 400 computers. Wi-fi is available to enable internet access from the hostel.

The IMI Delhi placement cell has worked hard to increase the pre-placement offers made to students to 100%. During the 2018 placement season, approximately 88 recruiters visited the campus and offered a maximum salary of Rs 20.75 lakh per year and an average salary of Rs 12.23 lakh per year. Recruiters from Gulf, Shell, Indian Oil, BMW, ICICI Bank, Decathlon, Accenture, HCL, Yes Bank, and many other companies visited the campus and offered students job and internship opportunities. The placement cell also organised a summer internship with a maximum stipend of Rs 2 lakh and an average stipend of Rs 72,000.

International Management Institute (IMI), New Delhi Courses and Admission 2025

The courses offered at IMI Delhi include PGDM and FPM courses. Admission to these courses is done based on previous academic performance and valid entrance exam scores. The entrance exams accepted for IMI Delhi admissions include CAT, XAT, ATMA, CMAT, NMAT, MAT, etc. For admission in the FPM course scores of GRE or NET are also considered. All the shortlisted candidates after the assessment of these scores will then have to go through an aptitude test and a personal interview round.

The International Management Institute New Delhi is now accepting applications for admission to the PGDM programme, and interested candidates can apply on the IMI Delhi website. CAT/ GMAT scores are used to determine admission to PGDM programmes. IMI Delhi will also accept XAT scores for PGDM admission in 2023. For IMI Delhi admissions, the average cut-off is 90%.

For the PGDM course at IMI Delhi, the first shortlist will be released based on CAT/ GMAT/ XAT scores and academic grades. Academic performance, extempore speaking, psychometric test, essay writing, and personal interview will be used to make the final decision. 

IMI Delhi also offers PGDM Human Resource Management (HRM), PGDM Banking & Financial Services (B&FS), EPGDM, and Fellowship Program in Management in addition to PGDM (FPM). Candidates with at least five years of post-qualification work experience can apply for the PGDM Executive and FPM. The IMI Delhi fees range from Rs 7.87 lakh to Rs 19.25 lakh approximately.

The placement and training cell at International Management Institute, New Delhi oversees the student placement process. GMAT- The Graduate Management Aptitude Test (GMAT) is a computer-adaptive entrance exam administered by the Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC). It assesses a candidate's critical thinking, analytical writing, problem-solving abilities, and logical reasoning. Furthermore, this exam is a prerequisite for admission to graduate management programmes such as a Master of Business Administration (MBA). The GMAT is accepted by over 7,000 programmes in nearly 2,300 graduate business schools worldwide.

A GMAT 2023 aspirant should remember that the exam can be taken up to five times in a calendar year. However, the time between consecutive retries must be at least 16 days.

CAT- The Common Admission Test (CAT) is a management aptitude test that a candidate must pass to be admitted to the MBA programmes offered by 20 IIMs and over 1,200 B-schools in India. The CAT 2023 exam will most likely be held on November 27. The schedule for the exams will be announced in the last week of July. Applications for CAT 2023 will be accepted beginning in the first week of August and until the third week of September 2023. The application fee for general candidates is Rs 2,200, while the fee for reserved candidates is Rs 1,100.
